Is there a special teenager in your congregation who shows a talent for ministry and leadership? If so, they belong in Project Burning Bush! A youth ministry initiative of Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education, PBB is a program of theological vocation and Christian leadership for high school students. It is a place to imagine and explore how their gifts and talents can be used for God’s purpose, alongside others who are experiencing the same type of call. The program is divided into three parts: 1) The Institute at Union-PSCE is a 2-week summer residential opportunity on the seminary campus in Richmond, VA; 2) The Mentored Project is a project youth select and complete at their home church after the Institute; 3) The Vocational Retreat is 4 days of reunion, celebration, and vocational discernment back at Union-PSCE the following summer. For the youth in your church YOU are a burning bush! If you have high school students who exhibit strong leadership and a deep and growing faith, please send them our way. Applications for summer 2008 are currently being accepted. ALL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A FULL SCHOLARSHIP. Interested? For more information and to download an application, visit our website at: www.projectburningbush.org or email: burningbush@union-psce.edu or call: Joy Cotzias at 804-278-4319.
